PLASTIC PACKAGING DESIGN
The design office designs future containers using 3D-modeling programs. The project should take into account: usability, reliability, production costs, resistance to deformation during transportation, hygienic characteristics.
Designers are guided by the volume, type of cosmetic, its density, and storage requirements. It is also possible to design bottles for a line of different cosmetics of the same brand. A 3D model of the plastic product is necessary for the next stage of production. It is this model that is used to create the molds.
PLASTIC MOLD MAKING
The key stage in the preparation for plastic container production is the creation of the mold. The more accurate and detailed the 3D model is, the sooner trial molds will be ready. Our own production allows us to significantly speed up this process and start manufacturing containers. As a rule, the production of blow molds takes less time than injection molds.
Special equipment is used to make a plastic mold:
- milling machines;
- lathes, grinding machines;
- coordinate boring, coordinate grinding, surface grinding, internal grinding, etc.
Once the test mold is ready, mandatory tests are carried out. Based on the results, the model may be sent for revision and improvement.
The final mold is tested and considered finished when its quality fully meets the standards.
PRODUCTION OF (PT) CONTAINERS FOR COSMETICS
When the final mold is ready, the production of containers in a given quantity begins. Packaging for cosmetic products must meet virtually the same characteristics as packaging for food products. Therefore, only safe materials are used for their manufacture:
- polyethylene;
- polypropylene;
- polystyrene;
- acrylonitrile.
These materials comply with current standards, are safe for health and do not interact with content components.
Depending on the model, production is carried out using one of the following technologies: vacuum forming, injection molding, blow molding on fully automated or semi-automated equipment.
In addition to the vials, complete caps, screw caps or hinged caps are made of denser material.
PLASTIC PACKAGING DECORATION
To distinguish their goods, manufacturers adopt various marketing solutions, including specific container shapes, brightly colored labels, unusual combinations of materials, and different finishing methods.
To glass or plastic packaging for cosmetics favorably differ from analogues, in its manufacture can be used:
- asymmetrical shapes;
- the widest range of colors;
- manufacturer's logos applied by tampo printing in different colors;
- graphic effects;
- foiling in gold, silver or other colors;
- silkscreen and soft-touch coating;
- offset printing.
